In the Apostolic Constitution Ex corde Ecclesiae, Pope John Paul II reminded us that the distinctive characteristic of an educational institution is its gaudium de veritate, that is, its joy in the truth.
Queen of the Apostles Preparatory Academy begins classical instruction with children starting in pre-kindergarten. The purpose of starting at a younger age is to prepare the children in the classical method within their reading, writing, philosophy, and engaging Socratic discussions. Learning this style of education at these tender years will bridge the children into a complete readiness for their high school years of classical education.
This joy continues to shine through in our students, who continue to use our classical curriculum and specifically the Great Books Program, starting in 9th grade, and then onto combined classes with Holy Apostles College, starting in 11th grade. The transformative learning process at Queen of the Apostles Preparatory Academy is designed to help students grow both in and out of the classroom. Each day is filled with opportunities to experience new educational and social situations to further development.
Queen of the Apostles Preparatory Academy is an academic place of study that is rooted in the unity of God and building up the new generation of leaders with a joyful spirit and courageous fortitude modeling the lives of the saints. This indestructible unity builds itself securely upon the four pillars of the Christian Life. The Profession of Faith, the Celebration of Christian Ministry, Life in Christ, and Christian Prayer. Students will be given the skills to live upon each pillar with fortitude, humility, and kindness. No single pillar can support the roof alone. Let us build them up together in order to present the faith with courage and understanding. Through Queen of the Apostles rigorous, integrated curriculum students reach their highest God-given potential that prepares students to succeed in their academic and professional lives, as well as, to serve their family, country, and Christ our Savior.
